EXPLORE TASK: (1 OF 8 POINTS)
1) COMPUTATIONAL ARTIFACT: ANIMATION

You will use Scratch  to create your Computational Artifact an animation about Virtual Reality.

  • 1) The computational artifact:
    • Identifies the computing innovation.
    AND
    • Provides an illustration, representation, or explanation of the computing innovation’s intended purpose, function, or effect

ASSIGNMENT 1: COMPUTATIONAL ARTIFACT: VIRTUAL REALITY IN SCRATCH

ROW 1: COMPUTATIONAL ARTIFACT: VIRTUAL REALITY

  1. CREATE 1 MINUTE LONG SCRATCH PROJECT
    Using Scratch, create a 1 minute project of a COMPUTATIONAL ARTIFACT of your choice (Not Self Driving Cars, previously done). The computing innovation must use Technology and also use Data that could be interpreted as Good or Bad.
    Use Scratch to create an artifact for Virtual Reality.

    • Show what the innovation is
    • Show What it does and how it is used

    EXAMPLES: VR PROJECTS IN SCRATCH

    REQUIREMENT:
    * The project needs to be 1 Minute long coded in Scratch.
    * At least 4 different scenes in your Project
    (Example:
    Scene 1 <0-20seconds> Show the Computing innovation
    Scene 2 <21-30 seconds> How Computing Innovation is Used
    Scene 3 <31-40 seconds> Computing Innovation using Data
    Scene 4 <41-60 seconds> Computing Innovation Good vs Bad Data
    )
    * Each of 4 scenes should contain different elements (images, sound, text, etc)
    B) Gather resources, images, and Code your Scratch Project.

  2. CONVERT THE SCRATCH PROJECT TO VIDEO FORMAT
    You will use the ScreenCast-O-Matic.com to record your Scratch Project for your Computational Artifact.
